Web-based training for AT&T employees. Developed tests and computer-based
simulations to ascertain learner comprehension of course material. Participated
in pilot studies. Worked intensively
with both clients and Subject Matter Experts to clarify information and learning
objectives, to develop instructional design strategies, and to train the trainer.
Worked effectively both independently and as part of a team (September 2004
– October 2005).
Training
Developer, IBM, Atlanta, GA -- Worked in an
instructional designer/eLearning developer capacity at IBM. Planned, created,
managed, and deployed technology-based and instructor-led training for a
variety of products (i.e. HR policies, SAP processes, and computer hardware)
and audiences (i.e. sales staff, Navy officers, and Subject Matter Experts)
incorporating various learning techniques such as Bloom’s Taxonomy and
Kirpatrick’s Four Levels of Evaluation. Developed and administered tests
covering the training content to ascertain learner comprehension. Worked
intensively with both clients and Subject Matter Experts to clarify information
and learning objectives, to develop instructional design strategies, and to
train the Subject Matter Expert on how to deliver the training. At times,
directed a group of 2-15 writers, QA, and graphic designers to help in
courseware production (November 1998 – September 2004).

Technologies, Norcross, GA -- Worked in Lucent Technologies’ Fiber
Optic Cable division as a technical writer.
Worked with technical managers rewriting and updating process manuals.
Helped build and support the company’s Intranet database (using Adobe
